We welcome new and older members to our revised web site. The goal of Black Shoppers (buyers) Union is to organize 10,000 new members and 50 stores in one year's time. This will give the union the base it needs to impact on commerce in our community. We encourage every store in our community to join the Network.

It is imperative that we organize the big department stores in our community. Firstly, it will make our pension/housing plan grow fast.

Department stores take most of our shopping income. They offer little or nothing in return. We, buyers, control the market, not our suppliers. We have started negotiating with three major department stores in Harlem, they have been recalcitrant. We will bring you up on any union action we may take in the near future. To end the hemorrhaging of Black, low income, rental tenants being forced out of traditional Black communities such as Harlem. Shoppers organized can impact on the housing markets by buying and renting "Q" Housing collectively. It will be an alternative to no housing and reduce outside control of our housing.

We have a lot of work to do! Lots of work! But it is not all gloom and doom. Your union offers its members economic opportunities and entertainment such as its Auction Flea market, Rebate on Demand Shopping Market. Employment opportunities, search and free, initial consultants with union approved architect, for members who may own, buy or sell a house that may have design rehab or building compliance problems. For the serious and the curious we have an Astrologist for horoscope interpretations, a Newsletter to let off steam, communicate with the membership and make proposals. In addition we have a scorching New Books and Plays outlet for the writers and readers in our union. And we mustn't forget the Impi. Oh! The Impi, an African centered youth empowerment organization whose mission is to bring our young boys and girls into responsible adulthood. For verve and impact we have an in your face Union Shopping Bag. Dig a sea of  Union Shopping Bags when we do informational picket.

We have chain Store networking to connect business and shoppers who want to buy wholesale and retail at reduced rates partially funded by rebates on demand.

We have a will and now we have a way. Shoppers United control their community.
